Summer Fever
As an another page for my blog, here again to share to you the wonderful life in summer.
People can sense it - summer, it is. The bright, sunny sunshine enveloped the the whole country and captured many lively souls. Temperatures are getting higher than the norma making the days be filled with glamorous. Before you say hello world, you must first se the sun glowing like a bonfire glowing right infront of your eyes. This is the season where people are out from the bed, thinking what they would do for the rest of the day, beads of sweats kept falling on your face down to your knees. capturing the moments of being happy under the sun.
Besides from those things, every year, the country of Philippines are practicing some religious activities, one here is the circumcision of young boys, in the cooperation to the Catholic Church. Back to the Bible times, when Jesus Christ was born after a week, He was circumcised because Israelites in that time are already practicing circumcision.
Also in summer, Filipino people are practicing the Long week celebration of Lent. In Filipino terms, this is called “Mahal na Araw” - showing here the life of our Christ before He was sentenced to death, to be nailed at the cross and be crowned of thorns in His head.
For the girls, cutting their hair short and be get involve in the new trends of fashion world. Many girls now are fond of fashion, especially to dressing themselves up, depending on their likes and tastes. From bracelets to bangles, loose jeans to tight ones, pony tails or pig tails to headbands. high heeled shoes to sneakers or doll ones, etc. Many girls from our generation are involved what other people called as EMO or emotional sarcastic.
Summer is the start of the end of school year, wearing tops and gowns and toss them around telling themselves that they’ve graduated and as seniors tell goodbyes to their woes and the memories, good and bad alike, of a student life.
If it’s any indication, summer means just having fun and being gusty enough to choose happiness period. but it takes practice, courage, and a free spirit to engage in some serious cavorting.
Why not do something totally random and not of sync from your monotomous scheds? There’s nothing more exciting than being provided that, you are well aware of your limitations. Don’t push the envelope too far when you think being random takes you away from your priorities like work and studies. You still have a life to get back to after some adrenaline-pumping and blood-risking activity. But for the meantime, this summer, randomized and shuffle your life’s playlist.
Try new things. It’s very clinche-ish but true. Sign up for an art or pottery workshop. Go click-happy; learn the fundamentals of photography and break them. Befriend a stranger. The satisfaction you’d get after learning you have a hidden talent or that you can be the most charming and friendly earthing out there is nothing but short of an experience. You’d get home with a silly smile plastered on your face. Passers-by might think you are looney and your friends might realize you’re really the crazy fool they thought you really are, but don’t mind them. These people might be jealous of our newfound bliss.
Of course, these are just small things in your to-do list this summer: To raise the ante up, you could muster enough courage and confess your true fellings to your ultimate crush. This requires a concrete game plan, or not at all if you think you’re too suave to be rejected. Ask your buddies how to go about doing anything this. If you’re a guy, ask girls for pieces of advice and vise versa. Make no excuse for flaws. Perfect timing is the key and a lot of platitued and compliments up your sleeve could do wonders.
Better yet, just be trippy and play tricks to your friends. That would be so annoying and tiring at the same time. But then, if you are really, really bored, that would do. You could go up to everyone you see and ask “What?” and see how confused they get! Think of other spur-of-the-moment activities you can benefit from. Stare at someone for a long time. Have a pillow fight. Make out with your better half in the middle of heavy traffic. Be a vegetarian for a day. Bring halo-halo or ice cream to work. List the soundtrack of your life and make a mock album out of it. Watch reruns of your favorite TV shows or movies or have a DVD movie marathon.
Visit memory lane and laugh at the hindeous and outdated clothes you wore in the pictures. Go to places you’ve never been before. Run amok and get lost in the city. Reminisce old-school days while listening to Eraserheads’ singles. Be kind. Be a happy pill to others. Laugh like there’s no tomorrow. Dance even if there’s no music on. Sing out loud even if you;re out of tune.
If all else fails, there’s one more thing left to do. Make this summer as your own summer. Own it and you’ll never go wrong. Have a happy summer days, everyone!
